From the buildings of the old Elsemühle, we began in 1875 – producing springs as well as hat, coat, and screw hooks by hand. What started as a small manufactory has, over more than 15 decades, evolved into a technological partner for industry.

The war and post‑war years challenged us as well. Reconstruction succeeded because we focused on what customers truly need – reliable, robust, tailor‑made solutions. By transforming our product range and entering new applications, we gradually gained the automotive industry and mechanical and tool engineering as our core sectors. This strategic realignment continues to shape us today.

Our performance is defined by the people who make it possible every day. Around 170 employees think and act as the PRINZ team. They are the reason we deliver consistently, meet and exceed standards, and have been able to grow. This sense of togetherness is a key part of our corporate culture – and the driving force that carries us into the next 150 years.
Our Anniversary Celebration: A Day for the PRINZ Family
How do you celebrate continuity? Together. Our summer festival marking the 150th anniversary was exactly that: a gathering of generations with around 300 guests, including about 170 employees with their families, former colleagues, and long‑time companions. Between bouncy castle and giant table football, food truck and music, it became clear what defines us: enthusiasm for technology, joy in our work – and a desire for the future. The factory tours were especially popular: children and adults alike stood in awe before the machines on which our parts are produced. This is precisely the curiosity we want to inspire and encourage.
We say thank you – to our workforce, our shareholders, and our partners. The speeches reflected what matters to us: trust, support, and entrepreneurial spirit. Without this mindset, change would not have been possible – and without it, it will not be possible in the future.
Anniversaries are both reflection and new beginnings. Our focus is on the road ahead: on new markets and applications, on advanced manufacturing technologies and digital process chains, on resource efficiency that combines safety and sustainability. Our goal remains to strengthen competitiveness through innovation and to be a reliable partner – from the idea to series production.
